A Nutraceutical is generally defined as any substance that is a dietary supplement, food or medical food, and provides medical or health benefits, including the prevention and reduction of risk of a disease or health condition. Such products are safe for human consumption in such quantity, and with such frequency, as required to realize such properties. pH Sciences offers Nutraceuticals that are precisely manufactured and scientifically based.

What is a dietary supplement?
Congress amended the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) in 1994, defining a dietary supplement as a product taken by mouth that contains a "dietary ingredient" intended to supplement the diet. The "dietary ingredients" in these products may include: vitamins, minerals, herbs or other botanicals, amino acids, and substances such as enzymes, organ tissues, glandulars, and metabolites. Dietary supplements can also be extracts or concentrates, and may be found in many forms such as tablets, capsules, softgels, gelcaps, liquids, or powders.
